5-DAY, 300 SECOND CHALLENGE
Let’s face it, everyone’s motivation begins to dwindle now and again.
But I believe I have a solution that can help.
It might not be what you’re expecting. My solution is two numbers – 300 and 86,400.
What do two numbers have to do with rebuilding motivation? Everything.
86,400 is the number of seconds in a day. We use up those seconds doing all kinds of things – eating, sleeping, working, shopping, picking up kids. The list goes on and on. But let me ask you this:
How many seconds a day do you commit to excellence? How many seconds a day do you spend focused on achieving your goal or reaching your dream?
300 seconds is the solution.
It is a starting point, especially when you are struggling with motivation. Just 5 minutes can change everything.
Why do I become so distracted? Why do I lose motivation? Why do I have a hard time pursuing my dream? The why’s can go on ad nauseum. Your job is to change the question. Your job is to reboot your motivation and get back on track. Change from asking yourself “why” to “what is my why.” We forget where we came from and where we are going. But we need to remind ourselves. And that reminder needs to move us in the right direction.
300 seconds is the start of the process. 5 minutes a day.
Success is all about the grind. We get side-tracked with so many distractions that are inconsequential or unimportant. We spend our time on things that don’t point us to our dreams. 300 seconds is a way to start the process now. No excuses, no postponement. I don’t care how tired you are when you get home. I don’t care how late it is when you crawl into bed. And I don’t care what time you need to get up. Everyone can start with 300 seconds. That’s all I’m asking. 5 minutes will not change your life as far as sleep goes. Sleeping 4 hours or 4 hours and 5 minutes is inconsequential. But the 300 seconds can give you huge dividends on the positive side. It can direct you toward your dream.
The point of all this, the thing that separates overachievers from underachievers, is getting back on track. You need to put in the work, minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day. It is the grind. And that is why we are starting with a 300-second challenge. I’m talking about 0.3% of your day for 5 days. That’s doable.
No excuses. Let’s get after it.
The free challenge begins Monday, January 31, through Friday, February 4. Each day of the challenge you’ll receive an email and video from me with a specific, 300-second challenge for the day.
You’ll also get access to our 300-second Challenge private Facebook group to interact with others in the challenge, share your results, ask for accountability, and have a chance to win some really cool 300-second swag.
So, what are you waiting for? Let’s do this. Together.
